UNDERSTANDING IS VITAL

To those who refuse to acknowledge the vitality of Understanding Scriptures.

Understanding is the key factor to knowledge and faith in God. Despite the fact that you are hearing the word of God on daily basis, you need to understand,  believe and obey it for profitable living.

Understanding the word gives you a clear picture of what it is, what to do, and endowed you with the knowledge requires to improve faith. We are ought to search the scriptures not just for clarification purpose but also for assimilation and interpretation.


Luke 24:45
Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures.

Jesus in Luke 24:45, knew without understanding, the Word is nothing to His disciples. Therefore, He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures. Alot of people today have veiled mind to understand the Word.
Their mind is blocked to understanding, and without understanding, knowledge cannot evolves. There is knowledge in the place of Understanding. Alot of people are suffering from lack of Understanding and from lack of knowledge, not lack of the Word. They don't have understanding of God's word despite all their search. 

YOU CANNOT KNOW JESUS WITHOUT UNDERSTANDING THE WORD.

1 John 5:20
We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true by being in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.

Understanding the word of God put your faith in a better position to act upon the word.

Until you understand, you cannot know, and until you know,  faith cannot grow; for faith comes by knowing (Hear, read and Understand) the word of God. Romans 10:17

Romans 10:14
How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?

If you want to know Christ, you need a revelation of His word, you need  your mind enlightened, you need your eyes of faith opened to understand and believe..

Philippians 3:9-10
and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ---the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith. [10] I want to know Christ---yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death,
